Built in the 16th century and used as a coaching inn the Crown has been frequented by many a patron since. Now run by locals Kathryn and Ian Cooke we pride ourselves on running a traditional community pub.
Pubs up and down the country are slowly being demolished, a lot larger due to the rents/restrictions put upon them by breweries, which is why we are pleased to now be a free house, which we are proud of and hope we can still maintain traditional values. At the Crown you’ll find attentive friendly staff, something that repeatedly comes up on our reviews. Our aim is to provide good quality freshly produced food and drink at reasonable prices.
We are delighted our customers love the warm welcoming ambience of the pub and enjoy the traditional and great atmosphere too.
We provide our standard menu and also offer a Sunday lunch, where booking is advisable. Offered are a choice of meats, fresh vegetables and roast potatoes. We also offer accommodation, again booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
